Texas softball ace Teagan Kavan improves to 10-0 on the season as the Longhorns open an SEC series with a home win over Ole Miss

Another dominant showing from Texas softball pitcher Teagan Kavan helped the Longhorns stretch their winning streak to 22 games with a 3-1 win over visiting Ole Miss Friday in the first of a three-game SEC series. Kavan matched her season high with 12 strikeouts while improving to 10-0 with the complete-game win. She also picked up her seventh complete-game win of the season.

Over the past nine games, Kavan has allowed a total of just 30 hits and 12 runs. The No. 3 Longhorns (24-1, 4-0 SEC) enter the second game of the series Saturday at 11 a.
