She went 2-for-3, recording one home run, one double, three RBIs, one run and one walk against Mississippi State pitcher Alyssa Faircloth.
Faircloth totaled nine strikeouts and 116 pitches, including 86 strikes, against 32 batters in nine innings versus Tennessee. Butt discussed her game-winning home run after the game. โI was just trying to stay committed with our plan that we had as a team, and just have committed swings,โ Butt said.
โThat's something we were saying all game. Yeah, I had the big swing, but I think it was everybody else who had other really good hits that just didn't get through, and just unfortunately didn't go our way. Bella (Faw) was really good all night.
