The Miami Dolphins signed several defensive backs, but one of their newest signings is set to play on an affordable deal for the team.

The Miami Dolphins have been one of the most active teams in the NFL over the last week, signing and re-signing over 20 players to contracts for the 2026 season, which will be the first under general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan and head coach Jeff Hafley. Among those players brought in is safety Zayne Anderson, who joins the Dolphins after five years at BYU, two with the Kansas City Chiefs, a cup of coffee with the Buffalo Bills and three seasons with the Green Bay Packers. While Anderson could provide depth on defense and play a role on special teams, his contract is very affordable.

According to Over the Cap , the deal is for one year and comes with a $1. 22 million salary and a $1. 08 million cap hit.

There are no bonuses or guarantees in Anderson's contract, meaning the Dolphins could cut him at any time and save every cent from the deal. In his five years in the NFL, Anderson has appeared in 47 games and has recorded 36 tackles, two passes defensed, two fumbles recovered and one interception.
