Elite College Hoops Heat Up! Exciting Season Starts on March 14, 2026

Bunches of conference tournament title games all over the network dials today, plus semifinals for weird leagues!

Vermont’s one of the few teams that I know is battling for a conference championship on Saturday as I build this post on Friday, so they get to be in the picture. | Photo by Mitchell Layton/Getty Images The Good News: There’s 27 nationally televised college basketball games on today. The Better News: 17 of the 27 are tournament championship games, meaning that there is an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament on the line.

The Slightly Less Great News: I’m putting this together on Friday afternoon so it can publish very early on Saturday morning, and right now, 16 of the 17 title games are still without at least one of the two teams participating. That’s because the semifinals for those conferences are going on today and Semifinal Friday is really only just now getting going. And so, I will drop this schedule of events in for you, and as possible, I will update it with the important things like “who is actually in the game.

” The day gets started very early with the men’s America East final between Vermont and UMBC as well as the women’s MAC final between Miami and a mystery partner. Business picks up at 5pm Central time tonight, as every game that starts after that point — 10 of them! — will have an automatic bid on the line.

Hopefully we get some drama out of all of this, right? Feel free to use the comments section as a Live Thread/Open Thread/Chat Thread/whatever for the day! Here’s the full national television schedule for the day, with all times Central, as always.
