If Manchester City want to sign an exciting Dutch right-back they will face a fight Manchester City appear set to be in the market for a right-back this summer. One player who could be a potential target for City is Feyenoord’s exciting young right-back Givairo Read . Read is highly regarded and his impressive play for Feyenoord has caught the eye of several clubs.

A new report has emerged that Bayern Munich are desperate to sign Givairo Read this summer. If Read is the right-back that City want to sign, they will face a battle to sign Read ahead of strong competition. Bayern Munich have identified Givairo Read as a top target and don’t want to face competition from Manchester City for his signature.

A new report from Christian Falk for CF Bayern Insider states that Bayern Munich are eager to avoid a bidding way to sign Givairo Read from Feyenoord. Falk reports that Bayern are believed to have already begun talks with Feyenoord over a potential deal to sign Read. As per Falk’s report, Bayern are willing to pay between £17-26 million to sign Read.

Bayern are reportedly wary of Manchester City’s interest to sign Read and do not want City to price them out of the race to sign the exciting young right-back. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see City target a right-back who is more ready-made than Givairo Read. If Manchester City want to sign a right-back with talent and potential, Givairo Read does fit that bill.

It wouldn’t be a surprise if that’s the route City went down, especially with Matheus Nunes having solidified himself as a quality right-back in his own right. If City were to move for Read, he could provide cover for Nunes while learning and developing as a player. My biggest query is: Is that a route that Manchester City will go down?
