TPC Sawgrass Champions Honor Stunning Swing in Smoke-Free Celebration!
That's one way to pass the time.
PONTE VEDRA BEACH — Collin Morikawa's early withdrawal on Thursday at the Players Championship meant is two playing partners, Ludvig Aberg and Si Woo Kim, we're in for a loooong two days. Pace of play-wise, that is. Morikawa's drop out made them a twosome, and both Aberg and Kim like to keep it moving, Aberg especially.
But in a full field, with a ton of money on the line, they'd be going nowhere fast over the next 36 holes. That reality became abundantly clear on Friday afternoon when Aberg and Kim reached the seventh tee, where there was a rather large wait. The backup was so bad that Kim found a hilarious way to pass the time.
RELATED: Jordan Spieth made a fair point in the anchoring debate He went into the woods and ripped a dart: Unfortunately, our friend Joe Idone did not capture footage of Aberg tossing in a Zyn. It must have been a magical one, because Aberg, already five under on his round, went par-par-eagle to close out a front-nine 29. He's now tied for the lead with Xander Schauffele at 10 under.
Pace of play be damned, the Aberg-Kim duo continues to soldier on. Nothing a little nicotine can't fix.
