Pacheco was one of 10 basketball, baseball and softball nominees from Las Cruces, Mayfield, Organ Mountain and Centennial. These were the other nine nominees: Chase Sanchez, Centennial baseball Jada Lopez, Centennial softball Gilbert Torres, Centennial baseball Jayleen Ponce, Mayfield softball Ryan Coryell, Las Cruces baseball Ceanna McKines, Mayfield girls basketball Hannah Justus, Organ Mountain softball Audrina Guillen, Mayfield softball Kendra Martinez, Centennial softball Pacheco received 17,144 total votes, making up 67.
