New Headline: Mikaela Mayer Puts Jake Paul on Back Foot in 4-0 Thrashing to Secure MVP Honor
Mikaela Mayer is the latest top women’s boxing start to sign with Jake Paul’s group.

(Photo by Sarah Stier/Getty Images) | Getty Images Most Valuable Promotions have announced the signing of three-division world champion Mikaela Mayer , another major add to the roster at Jake Paul ’s promotional company, which has largely taken over the women’s side of the sport. The 35-year-old Mayer (22-2, 5 KO) is one of the standout names in the sport since turning pro in 2017.
She won her first world title, the WBO super featherweight belt, in 2020, and currently holds both the WBC super welterweight title and the WBO welterweight belt, both of which she won in 2025. Mayer had spent her entire career as a Top Rank fighter, but for most of the last four years has been fighting on cards promoted by others. She had four straight fights in the United Kingdom from 2022-24, then two back in the States with Top Rank in 2024-25, both against Sandy Ryan.
Her most recent fight came last October in Montreal on an Eye of the Tiger bill. Mayer was still under contract with Top Rank for those fights, but the company’s dwindling output and increasing irrelevance in a changing sport makes the move to Paul’s more active, women’s boxing-focused company a no-brainer. “I’ve always wanted the biggest and best fights, and MVP’s premier roster of women champions creates incredible opportunities to make those matchups happen,” she said.
“I’m looking forward to showcasing my skills on some of the biggest platforms in the sport and working with a passionate, innovative team that believes in the continued growth of women’s boxing. ” MVP recently struck a deal with ESPN , who ended a years-long relationship with Top Rank in 2025, after what may be charitably described as mixed results. The company already has cards set for April 5, April 17, and May 30 on ESPN platforms.
