Texas Tech track and field teams, the women ranked No. 6 and men No. 9, are set for the NCAA championships.

Here's what both need for a high finish.

Two weeks ago on their home track, Texas Tech track and field teams swept the Big 12 indoor championships for the second year in a row. Now Tech women and men, both with top-10 national rankings, are on to the NCAA indoor championships this weekend in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Tech has seven women's athletes in seven events and six men in seven events.

"I think if we are really on fire, men and women, we could be top five, both of them," Tech coach Wes Kittley said. "I'm going to be happy if we're top 10. I'm going to be ecstatic if we're top five.
